Wake Up, Get Jacked With Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey Infused Coffee Beans

17 November, 2018

Jack Daniels® has introduced their new line of 100% Arabica Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey infused coffee. This is isn't like the "whiskey flavored" Jack Daniel's® coffee that was discontinued back in 2011, these are coffee beans actually infused with famous Lynchburg recipe. Which leads us to ask "is there alcohol in it?"

Sadly the beans are non-alcoholic according the press release but they do tout that "the distinct caramel and vanilla notes of Jack Daniel’s® Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey are evident in each sip."

We're huge coffee drinkers, and black coffee drinkers, at DME so we can give you a pretty fair and pure report on the outcome.

Aroma from the bag: Whoa, it definitely smells like Whiskey. There's a pungent odor of alcohol, chocolate and coffee bean. The smell made us question there was no ABV involved here.

Coffee taste: It's pretty okay. It's definitely richer than a cheap bag of Peet's or Starbucks but more bitter than a higher end of some of the coffee's we start the day with. BTW - if we sound like coffee snobs here, it literally starts our day, there's almost no price to becoming productive after one super cup of the black stuff!

We would we buy it: Probably not. It would make a pretty cool office holiday part gift or perfect for the Jack Daniels® fan in your life but if you give coffee as a gift to a real coffee lover, keep going.
