Drinking Made Easier? Keurig launches home cocktail maker

15 November, 2018

We think we know a thing or two about drinking made easy but Keurig (and AB InBev) have just upped the game. Now with one push of the button you can have a range of cocktails from Moscow Mules to classic Gin & Tonic's as well as big label beers whipped up for you with the new Drinkworks Home Bar by Keurig machine.

The drinkmaker is a first-of-its-kind appliance designed to prepare cocktails, brews, ciders and more at the touch of a button. The drinkmaker calculates the precise amount of water and carbonation needed for each proprietary Drinkworks Pod, to deliver an exceptional experience every time. The portfolio features twenty four different recipes crafted with in-house mixologists and beverage scientists using signature blends of premium spirits and natural flavors, which are precisely measured in each sealed pod.

Cocktails include the classics like the Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Gin & Tonic, Long Island Ice Tea, Sangria, White Russian and Old Fashioned as well as some drinks from the "Paradise Collections" like the Mai Tai, Strawberry Margarita and the Paradise Margarita. There are 24 drinks available in total.

The beer list will offer brews from Becks, Bass with each brand offering four different recipes or "flights" in each pod pack and one Stella Artois Cidre offering.

A limited number of drinkmakers are now available to customers in St. Louis for pre-order, powered by the leading e-commerce and logistics solution for alcohol brands, Thirstie. The Drinkworks Home Bar and accessories may be purchased at, and starting November 19 at local St. Louis brick-and-mortar retailers including all Total Wine & More locations, and select Dierbergs and Schnucks stores. To buy Drinkworks Pods, customers must be 21 or older. Florida will be rolled out in Summer of 2019 and California in 2020.

In a world where your vacuum vacuums for you and your thermostat takes over your temperature settings by "learning" you we are zero surprised there's a "one button push" cocktail market coming to homes. While we still adore the romantic process of mixing our cocktails we'll proudly say this is pretty cool. Who doesn't like quick and no mess? Variety at the touch of a button. The Drinkworks Home Bar will never replace our actual home bar collection but it's nice addition when hosting that BBQ or having your purse party girls over. And imagine this... two minutes from home you open the app, click on "make" button and when you walk through the door the cocktail hour has begun - no mess, no fuss.

The drink maker and pods are sold separately, with the drink maker priced at $299, cocktail pods at $4 each and brews for $2.25. The drink maker does come with cleaning tablets, CO2, carbon water filters and coasters.
