A Lithuanian court has ruled that the brewing of Carlsberg lager is a “vitally essential” activity, thereby depriving the Danish beer monolith’s workers the right to strike.
The brewery approached the court in order to prevent workers from striking during their busy season. The court gave the ruling which classified the beer as ‘vital importance’ placing the beer in the same category as medical supplies and drinking water.
