We are fans of beer, and we are fans of beards. Steve Mckenna being an ideal poster child for both and all. However, we are not sure if we like the fact that Rogue beer from Newport, OR is experimenting with a new batch of beer called New Crustacean which will be made from wild yeast found in the beard of their brewmaster, John Maier. Yum.
According to the brewery, John has been growing the beard since 1978. His response to the beard that changed beer history? “It was in front of me the whole time and it only took two centuries and five decades to grow.”
