Beer Bro-quets For Him (Or You!)

10 February, 2016

Receiving chocolate is fun on Valentines Day, but how much more fun would a bouquet of chocolate beers be! We got on the phone with Co-Founder and CTO Greg Avola of Untappd to breakdown beer bouquet or “Bro-quet” ideas based on trending/popular beers you can put together this Valentine’s Day.

We know national availability of most beers isn’t always an option and the lists below are mere suggestions to help get your wheels spinning for ideas. We also know you craft beer fans and we know you’re thinking “you left out this one, and that one sucks compared to…” but again, merely suggestions!

When it comes to beer bouquet presentation, run with your inner Martha Stewart imagination. We raided the dollar isle at our local Target and for about $10 we put together a couple bouquets for our favorite Valentine’s. Go nuts with a themed bucket or keep it simple with a ribbon & bow.

The Chocolate Fan

There’s a lot of chocolate beers out there and in our opinion you can’t go wrong with anyone of them. Brewer’s are always pushing the limits and now you’ll find chocolate stouts infused with the heat of a pepper or mixed up with a peanut butter flavor accompaniment. Fun!

Boulevard Brewing - Chocolate Ale
Heretic - Chocolate Hazelnut Porter
Track Seven Brewing - Nukin Futz Imperial Peanut Butter Chocolate Cream Porter
Rogue - Chocolate Stout
Young’s - Double Chocolate Stout
Fort Collins Brewery - Double Chocolate Stout

The Can Fan

The craftcans.com database has 544 breweries listed from10 Barrel to Wynkoop Brewing offering one ore more of their lineup in the pop top. Can’s are great for the “pack-in, pack-out” adventurer, the beach, the golf course - anywhere really! As can technology has improved, so has our love for the craft beer in them.

Bells Brewing - Any of them! Greg’s Pick
Oskar Blues - the pioneer of Crowler and early adopter of the craft beer can
New Belgium Brewing

...and the list goes on!
