6 Beergaritas To Change It Up Tonight

05 May, 2016

Beer and tequila are best friends! Instead of going old school with some shots, a mexican beer back with a terrible tomorrow morning we've put together six "beergaritas" that may make your Cinco de Mayo celebration more fun and tomorrow a little more enjoyable, maybe.

The Beergarita

  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
1/4 cup coarse salt

  • 2 bottles (12 ounce size) beer, chilled, not dark, preferably a lighter-style lager

  • 1/2 cup thawed frozen limeade concentrate

  • 1/2 cup chilled tequila
ice cubes

Rub lime wedges around rims of Margarita glasses. Dip rims in salt to coat lightly. In a medium pitcher, combine beer, limeade, and tequila. Fill prepared glasses with ice, then with margarita mixture. Garnish with remaining lime wedges.Serve immediately.

Grapefruit Beergarita

  • Juice of 3 grapefruits
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec
  • 3 cups lemon beer

Place all the ingredients into a large jug and stir, stir, stir! Pour into four glasses and serve.

Coupe de Ville Beergarita

  • 6 ounces añejo tequila, chilled
  • 6 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 4 medium limes), chilled
  • 6 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice (from about 2 medium oranges), chilled
  • 3 ounces orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier, chilled
  • 6 (12-ounce) bottles light Mexican beer, such as Dos Equis or Tecate, chilled

Place all of the ingredients except the beer in a 4-quart container and stir to combine. Add the beer, stir gently to combine, and serve in chilled glasses.

Moscow Mule Margarita

  • 1 OZ Lime Juice {fresh squeezed if possible}
  • 3 OZ Ginger Beer
  • 1 1/2 OZ Tequila I used Patron Silver, but any 100% agave tequila will do
  • 1/2 OZ Cointreau or another orange liqueur
  • 1/2 OZ Simple Syrup
  • Course Salt

Start with making the simple syrup by placing equal parts of water and sugar in a small saucepan - 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 sugar. Warm over medium heat stirring until the sugar dissolves. Let cool. Use fresh squeezed lime juice if possible or bottled if you are short on time. Be sure to buy enough limes to add to the margarita as well as garnish the glass. Stir {do not shake} all the ingredients together. Serve over ice and garnish with a lime...Olé!

Ginger Beer Margaritas The best margarita Ive EVER had

Ginger Beegarita’s

  • 1.5 ounces (3 Tablespoons) 100% agave tequila
  • 1 ounce (2 Tbsp) fresh lime juice
  • 3 ounces (6 Tbsp) ginger beer
  • 1/2 ounce (1 Tbsp) simple syrup
  • Coarse salt for lining rim

Line a small serving glass with fresh lime juice and dip in coarse salt (optional). Add tequila, simple syrup, ginger beer and lime juice to a large glass or cocktail shaker with 1/2 cup ice and stir vigorously. Don't shake with a lid on or it will erupt from the ginger beer carbonation (lesson learned). Pour liquid (reserving ice) into serving glass with a few ice cubes (we just ordered this oversized ice cube mold and LOVE it). Garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately. Repeat for more drinks, or double/triple the amounts for more people.

Limoncello Beergarita

  • 2oz Tequila
  • 2 oz Limoncello
  • 1 oz Triple sec
  • 12oz Lemon beer
  • lemon slices for garnish

Place all the ingredients, except the lemon slices, into a jar and stir. Evenly divide the cocktail between two glasses. Decorate the glasses with lemon slices, if you like, and then serve immediately.
